PROGRAMS: “Herbal Medicine”

In Comasagua, like so many Salvadoran communities, health care is beyond reach. Seeing possibilities in herbal remedies, a group of women and men obtained training in the production of natural medicines.

Now with affordable remedies for bronchial ailments, skin conditions and parasites—all too common because of lack of clean water—this business markets in the neighborhood and at a store in the region.

Salvadoran Enterprises for Women funded uniforms, required by the Ministry of Health, and supplies for production.
